So.. back on track here. Regarding the ad blocking in FireFox. FF doesn't "out of the box" block ads. So you guys installed a plug-in I'm assuming to do the job?

you have to download software so you can view a site that you want to be at.

True, but since downloading Firefox to go on TEN's sites safely, I have found that this program is way better than I.E. IMO.

I just tried out Ad Block Plus but I had to tell it to block the Google ads. Interesting stuff... I'm usually not one to block ads at my own site since I need to make sure they are running.

Be careful of other Add-Ons that modify script/redirect behavior. I'm sure they are helpful in many situations, but they can also cause problems with visiting sites. If you ever have problems with a site such as FTS which does a lot of advanced scripting, be sure to turn those Add-Ons off before reporting a problem.

good point chris. I've got the script blocker running, but I tell it to allow all scripts from FTS. All others (google analytics, and google syndication) are blocked.

At the school where I teach, any ads here are blocked out and show up as 9 Freeguard - Web page blocked - Freedom 9

But when I'm at home the ads are so UNobtrusive that I don't even notice them. Might be a reaction to all those ads I've long ago quit looking at over at FTW.
