Out behind the rear tire, especially since yours is an FX4.

I have mine before the rear tires (bassani dual) and the exhaust and suet destroyed one of my older rims to where it was completely oxidized.

I have the Lightning style Magnaflow exhaust which exits in front of the passenger side tire. Haven't had a problem with anything getting on the rims, but the polished stainless tips get dirty real fast. It takes a while to get them cleaned up again after a New England winter. I end up having to use Adams metal polish and steel wool to get off all the stuck on pieces of whatever.

I'm with Mark -- no problems with staining since I installed mine in front of the rear tire last summer, but the tips do get dirty quick. But, like a black truck, it looks great when it is clean!

#1 OK, if i got behind the tire, should i go 45 out each side, 90 out each side or do dual 90 out the right side? this is where i'm having trouble. it's hard to visualize and decide.

#2 should i do 45 slash cut tips or 15 rolled edge? again, with this bodystyle, i can't figure out what will look the best.

If I was to do my exhaust over again, I would do 45 out each side with 45 slash cut tips. Not a big fan of straight out the back, had it this way on the Sport Trac that I had and did not care for it that much. On my 05 flareside I have a si/do Magnaflow 14" muffler exiting in front of the right rear tire with the 15 rolled edge Magnaflow tips. I'll try and get some pics up of it later.
