Chris wrote a very detailed & great install article on the Retrax retractable bed cover. Check it out. What do you think of the cover? Anyone have any experience with them? Any suggestions or changes to the covers design?

I'm not sure what brand I had in the last 2 trucks but they were a metal roll back cover. I loved them the only drawbacks were the storage area at the front of the bed and if we had some freezing rain it could freeze but I definatly loved the versatility

That's not a bad write-up. Reminds me of this:

I also added Gate Gaskets to help seal up the bed area.

I really like my cover for its security and versatility. It works especially well with a Bed Rug. I also like that the side rails allow full use of the width of the tail gate. Some roll up models don't.
Drawbacks are the size of the canister in the front of my SuperCrew's already short bed, and the rear latch area is NOT water tight. Also, when it's nice and clean in the summer, bugs will land on it thinking it's water and the heat fries them right quick. But a little driving and they blow off.
