What are folks using to tie down cargo in the bed. My truck bed has the 4 tie downs bolted into the corners, but they are kinda of a PITA to use with rope. If I want to criss-cross the rope over the load I am carrying I have to run the rope through the tie down. With a long rope it takes a while and the tie downs are hard to reach from outside the bed.

What I am looking for is some kind of a hook(?) that can be attached to the cleats. Then I could just loop the rope under the hook, pull it tight and move on to the next corner.

That was a crappy explanation, but maybe you can figure out what I mean.

I always just use ratchet straps and put them in my stake pockets.

Try looking for the tie downs on truck.hownd.com under cargo accessories.

I used a thick blue blanket (the utility ones) and two long 5 footer bungee cords last weekend to take some junk to the dump. It held everything down fine.
