Was just curious... I've had a BedRug in every truck I've owned and it's a great product. It has always held up well and they're easy to clean. With that being said, I haven't had a single truck for more than a couple of years. Anyone had theirs for 5+ years? What about a BedRug without a bed cover -- how well does it hold up to the elements?

I've had my bedrug since 2002 and didn't have a tonneau for a good 6 months after I got it. It held up well to the rain/shine/dirt and still looks good!

My bedrug has been in for a little over 2 years. It still looks brand new.

Had one in my last truck for about 3-1/2 years and it still looked new when I sold the truck. It was uncovered for the first several months, through a snowy New England winter with absolutely no ill effects.

What about the Effects, if any on the Bed of the Truck.

Water really does not get under the bedrug. I have actually had standing in the bed.

Interesting... so when water does get into the bed, it doesn't get through the material and onto the bed itself? I didn't think it was that water tight... especially with all the zippers.

I have also had water pool on my bedrug. I have it installed about a year without a bed cover.

It's standing up very well.

Water will not soak through the rug itself but I would think water would get under it some through the zippers. The bedrug doesn't shift around like a solid plastic bed liner does so it won't rub through the paint leaving bare metal. As long as the paint is intact, the small amount of water that does get under the rug shouldn't cause any problems.

I got into the habit of taking the rug out at least once a year, washing the bed and applying a good coat of wax (NXT).

The foam "absorbs no moisture", as their website video says.

I have had my Bedrug for over 2 years. 6 months of that was uncovered in Central Florida during the rainy season. Before I put my A.R.E. cover on I unzipped the bottom to check for moisture and there was none.

The only problem i could see is that it may fade over time with the sun.

I bought my bed-rug a couple months after I got my truck(2002) but it has always been covered with a snuglid. Not sure how well it would hold up in the weather, but by looking at its design I'd be willing to bet it would last for a long time.

Take her out to "watch the stars" one night without a Bed Rug. Maybe she'll get the point then. I love mine, and so does my wife.

ive had mine for about a year and a half without a bed cover. truck is allways kept outside and uncovered. i live in tx so its allways out in the sun and heat and its held up just fine. ive taken it out about 2 times just to check under it and wash out any dirt or dust that may have gotn under it and it was in the same shape as it was before. the velcro on the tailgate came loose about 8 months ago so i have the tailgate part tucked under the bed part, just havent gotn the time to get more.
